Weddings these days vary in many ways. I decided to look at three very different millennial weddings to see how this generation has changed the way they get married. I wish I knew more people who were getting married so I could learn more, but alas I do not.
Are people having weddings to have a wedding, or to get married? Is our society so conceited that we have extravegant weddings to get more likes? There are a lot of expectations for weddings and it feels like it starts at the proposal. With more proposals being filmed to share on social media, are we proposing because we truly love that person or is to feel validated? To feel like we belong, as a part of society.
All three of the weddings on this site are people I know personally. I know that these couples love each other from being around them. Is it only because I know them personally that this changes my point of view? Maybe. One of the weddings took place abroad, and therefore I could not attend. One of the weddings hasn't happened yet. Finally, one of the weddings you will see some personal footage of it. I hope you enjoy learning a little bit about these couples and what it means to have a millennial wedding.
